2010 is here!

What a fantastic start to 2010!

These babies were born on the 31st of December. So they are one day old today! The nest is on Mark's window ledge so we were watching the 3 little green eggs for a couple of weeks

2010 was a year that will always stay with me and those close to me , with all the extremes it has left with us. It showed how life and values can be changed in a split second never to be the same again. We saw the best in people and the worst, friendships reassessed and new friendships forged, some made stronger,some weaker, the amazing support and kindness from total strangers, some who have stayed in our lives to become friends, others we don't even know their names. We watched incredible people at work, everyone of them a hero to us. Our worst fears were confronted a number of times in different ways this year and amazing strength shown to overcome expectations. It has left us with scars emotionally and physically but mostly it has shown the importance of those we love over everything else. We have seen bravery and determination, shed many tears, lost lots of sleep, made plans, altered everything in our lives, been drained financially, emotionally and physically and now greet 2011 and the challenges it will bring us as different people, with different values and outlooks to the ones we went into 2010 as. Stronger, weaker, more vulnerable and more determined and positive, with a lot of hopes for this year. My personal wish for 2011 ...........that it be a very dull and boring year and that at some point during this year to see my son without pain.

Good Bargaining Mark!

Mark had a limited amount of xmas money and decided to buy a TV - He got a great bargain after annoying the sales man in the end of year sales - not sure it is a good size for his bedroom but it is the size he wanted and worked out the same price as the special on the strange named one that I can't pronounce that he was going to get plus he got a wall mount as part of the deal. I think I will send him next time I need to buy something.
